Paul Scherer Invitational Tournament. 2009 Schedule

Paul Scherer Invitational Tournament 2009 kicks off Friday, June 5th at Ann Morrison Park in Boise. Below is the schedule of the tournament by division. Official schedule is also available on the “by time slot” basis.

Last Referee Certification for 2009

As confirmed by SWISRA’s assigner Albert Padley, the last chance to certify for 2009 in the valley will be this Saturday, February 28th at Best Western Inn (Bitterroot Room), 2660 Airport Way (Exit 53), Boise, from 8 AM to 1 PM. For more information, contact Sal Guerrero (salg [at] spro [dot] net).

Those, who want to referee SISL must check in with John Hickcox (sisl [dot] refassignor [at] gmail [dot] com) and attend March referee meeting.

Forum Facelift

BSU Announces Annual Summer 7×7 Tournament

Boise State announces 1st annual 7-a-side tournament in which could participate both adults (open and co-ed divisions) and high-schoolers (U15—U17 boys and girls). Tournament scheduled for July 12—13 weekend at Boas Tennis/Soccer Complex (home of the Broncos’ Soccer).

2008 SISL Tournament’s Results

This past weekend Ann Morrison Park in Boise was a stage to annual Paul Scherer Invitational Tournament. Besides Tresure Valley regulars there were squads from Idaho’s Sun Valley area and from Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Idaho State Cup 2008 Results

This past weekend Boise’s Simplot Fieids hosted Idaho State Cup Championship tournament (preliminaries were held week before in Coeur d’Alene). Below is list of champions, for full results, download spreadsheet (in .xls format) from IYSA website.

Professional Football Comes to Treasure Valley

Yesterday Meridian Speedway hosted an international exhibition football match between first reserve team of “Las Chivas” (Club Deportivo Guadalajara S.A. de C.V, Mexico) and all-star team from Tacoma, Washington. That marks the promising beginning of the new era for local football aficionados.
